RANA DAGGUBATI ON ALLU ARJUN’S NATIONAL AWARD WIN AND ‘JAI BHIM’
Allu Arjun won the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. He became the first Telugu actor to win this honour. At the same time, Suriya’s ‘Jai Bhim’ was snubbed at the awards.
Rana Daggubati, at an event in Hyderabad, was asked if there was any controversy surrounding Allu Arjun’s National Award win and ‘Jai Bhim’ losing out. He said, “Each one is entitled to their opinion. You might like a film and I might like something else. It’s the same with artists. It’s not about the person. Many thought that story [Jai Bhim] would bag awards. But, it didn’t. It’s not about why the other person won it. It’s never a controversy. They might have just shared a tweet, but there are people who make it a controversy. Amongst us, nothing is a controversy. Everybody can’t get the merit.”
NANI AND FANS EXPRESS SADNESS AS ‘JAI BHIM’ GETS SNUBBED
Allu Arjun scripted history at the National Awards. While many celebrated his win, Nani and several other fans of Suriya’s ‘Jai Bhim‘ were upset as the film failed to get the recognition at the award show.
Here’s Nani’s post:
Many people are of the opinion that Tamil cinema was snubbed at the National Awards. Films including ‘Jai Bhim’ and ‘Sarpatta Parambarai’ did not win an award in 2021.
